Whether its a still image, a single frame or the moving pictures of cinema, animation or video, every image tells a story.

My path through the visual and entertainment industries has been a winding road from lifting my first crayon, traditional art/photography education at school, Bachelor of Design at University, exploring the world, expanding my skills to involve 3d (cgi) animation, working on Happy Feet Two within the Motion Capture team and now freelancing while creating and promoting my own creative projects; most recently my crowd-funded book for families, High Up Where.

Unable to describe myself as purely an artist, designer, photographer, or filmmaker…If I had to define who i am, id have to say visual storyteller; a full-time creative and a full-time Dad. Raising my little daughter inspires me to seek magic and beauty everyday, as we discover the world together.

I am based in Sydney, Australia and while working my own creative projects, I am interested in utilising my filmmaking, photography and design skillsets on a freelance basis to help get your project, production, film or music video off the ground. So check out my previous work on the Projects Page, and explore the blog for behind the scenes and other creative bits and pieces. Do feel free to get in touch or hit me up on facebook.

I look forward to working with you to tell your story…whatever that may be.

Kindest Regards,
Luke Flanagan
